Welcome to the Mike Briggs Photography blog! For those of you who do not know me, I am Mike Briggs and I am a wedding photographer here in Orlando, Florida. I have a passion for uniquely capturing all the genuine moments and special details for the coolest couples around.

My goal with this site is to showcase images from the weddings and events I shoot as well as be an information and inspiration source for my clients or anyone else who is planning their wedding. Jeanine and TC Engagement 08.20.10  |  Engagements

After talking about several different locations, Jeanine decided that downtown Orlando would best fit their personality. There are so many great areas around the city and it is always a lot of fun finding new creative stuff to do. Their wedding is coming up in a few weeks.

Brittany and Nabil Ritz Carlton Wedding 06.30.10  |  Weddings

Brittany and I have had shared many phone calls and emails over the past year and I was so happy to meet her and Nabil in person for the first time on wedding day, for their destination wedding at the Ritz Carlton here in Orlando.

As with all summer weddings in Orlando, there is a chance of afternoon rain. Well, unfortunately, the rain came about an hour before the ceremony and pushed it inside. The rain moved through and even though we did not have an outdoor ceremony, we were able to get some great shots around the property and the day really turned out absolutely wonderful. Everyone had an awesome time and the party rocked all night long thanks to the fantastic DJ Carl.

Brittany and Nabil Day After 06.29.10  |  Day after

Here are some shots from Brittany and Nabil's Day After session. Of course these types of sessions can be done anytime after the wedding but since they were only in town for the week, we actually did their session only 31 hours after their wedding. Enjoy their fun in the water and I plan to have shots from their Ritz Carlton wedding up tomorrow for you to enjoy.

Kim and Dan Engagement 05.30.10  |  Engagements

Kim and Dan's engagement session turned out to be quite the adventure. We met up at a beautiful local park, which shall remain nameless due to following story.

Kim and Dan were totally rockin' the session and we were all having a really great time until out of nowhere a security guard rolled up, high atop his golf cart of city ordinance enforcement, to abruptly end our session. Apparently my camera was too intimidating for him and he had to put a stop to our harmless, albeit awesome, engagement session. He went on talking about submitting an application with the city and blah blah blah. At this point we had gotten what we had came for anyway and decided to peacefully leave without causing any trouble.

We then headed to a nearby football field because they are huge football junkies. They both actually play flag football 4 nights a week. Pretty cool. Kim and Dan are getting married Spring of 2011.

Shea and Rick Wedding 05.30.10  |  Weddings

Shea and Rick were married at an adorable church in Tuscawillia and then we headed downtown to the Citrus Club for their reception. Everything turned out so perfectly and it was wonderful sharing in Shea and Rick's big day. Their friends and family were a big party crowd and the dance floor was full all night long. I loved the energy of the crowd combined with the really awesome views of downtown Orlando atop the Citrus Club.

An Affair to Remember was on hand to keep the day running smooth and perfect.
